Grades K -2 Hola La, level two class
In both the level 1 class and the level 2 class, the goal will be to
immerse the children in Spanish for the 45 minute class. Classes will run for
10 weeks and will each be 45 minutes long. Hola La has a spiraled curriculum. Within the same theme, we
are constantly building on and reviewing what children have already learned in
addition to teaching new material. The level 2 class will be designed to build
on the knowledge that the children attained who have previously participated in
Hola La.
Hola La, Level 1: Hola
Autumn!
In Hola La’s fall session,
children will be exploring fall themes with animals we find in our
neighborhoods during this beautiful time of year. We will go apple picking,
visit a pumpkin patch and go for a fall hike! We will also be incorporating
colors and basic fall vocabulary. As always, our classes will be filled with
stories, songs, adventure walks, puppet shows, and games.
Hola La, Level 2: Hola
Autumn!
Children who take this
class must have previously taken Hola La. In this program, children will be
exploring fall themes with animals we find in our neighborhoods during this
beautiful time of year. Emphasis will be placed on immersing the children in
Spanish through stories, songs, interactive dialogue with the puppets, and
“reader’s theatre” in which the children will prepare and present a play to
parents at the end of the session.
